Cutting guide:

Card base: 6×6 scored at 3

Card base mat- 2  x 5

Waterfall mechanism: 8 ¾ x 2 ½ scored on the long side at  2, 2 ½ , 3, and 3 ½

Waterfall pieces: (3) 2  x 2

Pattern matting pieces: Waterfall mats- (3) 2 ½ x 2 ½

Mechanism- (1) 5  x 2

Attaching piece (decorative cardstock): 1 x 3

Note: I like mine having an  border. You can adjust yours to your liking.

How to:

-Take your bone folder and smoothing out your score lines.

-Take your distress oxide and begin distressing the edges of your solid cardstock. It’s not necessary if you’re using a different color. If you’re using white, it’ll help tie everything together.

-Before matting the pieces, you can take a corner rounder to both ends of one side (or all sides if you’d like). The matting piece for the waterfall mechanism only goes along the long non-scored side.

-Then taking your smaller squares and glue, apply the square to each scored space on the mechanism, starting from the left and going to the right. Making sure it lines up perfectly and straight.

-Take your stamping block, ink, and the scooter from Let’s Scoot set and saturate the stamp. You’ll then stamp it about an half an inch from the edge on the waterfall mechanism long piece.

-Grabbing a scrap piece of paper, you’ll cover the stamped image on the mechanism, fold the first flap down (furthest to the left) and re-stamp the image. You’ll begin creating a cascading look with the stamp with just portions of the other part of the stamp on each page flap. Repeat this process on all the flaps. Make sure you put your scrap paper in between each place to avoid possible smudging or the overlapping stamp.

-When you’re done with the scooter, you can start stamping your other elements on the card pieces like the sentiment and anything else you’d like to add (smoke, cake, road, etc.).

-Take your 1×3 cardstock and adhere it to no scored piece that is below your 3 flaps. You’ll place this as close to the middle as possible, making sure there’s enough room on both ends. You’ll then add glue to the exposed edges, fold your mechanism and place it onto the card. Make sure that when folded your waterfall is centered onto the card. -Take your bone folder and smooth out the glue to make sure it’s completely adhered to the card base.

-Now you’ll grab your alcohol markers and start coloring in your scooter and other elements. Optional: you can utilize your black marker and white gel pen to add definition in your colored elements.

Optional: Punch a hold towards the end of the waterfall mechanism roughly in the center and add ribbon. It adds a nice touch and will help guide the recipient to pull and see the scooter move and additional sentiments.

There you have it! I hope this card will have the recipient’s heart in full rev when they receive it, just like your excitement when creating it!
