How to:
~Take your (2) 8 x 12 cardstock and adhere them together using the ¼ inch score tape. Once that’s completed, you’ll add the same score tape to your 1 inch chipboard pieces. Then take the 6 x 6 double sided adhesive and apply it to your 6 x 6 chipboards. Since the gatefold pieces (3 x 6) are just cut in half, you can still apply the 6 x 6 double sided adhesive to them and then cut it.

~You’ll then remove the back from the tape and start adhering it to the cardstock. Place your 6 x 6 piece right over the cardstock where you adhered the 2 pieces together. From there going to the right, apply the 1 inch and the 3 inch chipboard pieces. To the left, repeat and place the 1 inch then the 3 inch chipboard pieces. Make sure you leave about an ⅛ gap to avoid cracking of the spines. Use your Bearly Art Glue over the adhesive to help maneuver the pieces accordingly if need be.

~Next you’ll remove any extra cardstock hanging from the side. You’ll only need at least an inch. Fold over the cardstock on all four sides to prep the paper for folding. When you do this, you’ll notice a little square in each corner. You’ll take your scissors and remove the squares, but also cut a small notch on the outside of the squares so you can avoid overhang. Once all of the squares are removed, apply your adhesive (I used both the score tape and wet glue) to the flaps and fold them over on your chipboard. Take your top covering pieces of cardstock and apply it onto the chipboard. Be sure to leave a bit of a border on the left and right edges. Optional: I distressed my cardstock to match the distressed look of the paper collection.

~Now you’ll add 2 rows of score tape in the middle of the album (base 6 x 6) and then apply your ribbon. Make sure to have a generous amount of ribbon hanging from the top and bottom. You will cut the ribbon accordingly later.

~Take your flaps, fold and smooth on the score lines, and apply adhesive to the ½ inch scored space with the flap folded inwards. You’ll then apply your longer flap at the top of the album in the center (6 x 6 base) and the shorter flap on the bottom. Use your bone folder to make sure it’s smoothed down. Optional: I used a corner rounder on my flap. You can begin applying the matting pieces on the inside and the outside of the album. But hold off on doing the inside of the 3 x 6 pieces of your covers.
~Now you’ll fold over your album with the covers lined together. Take your latch and find a good spot on where you want it to be. If you’re using the included brads, mark where the holes are lined up. Then remove the latch and take your poking tool and create the holes. Make sure they’re big enough to get your brads through, but not too big. You can also use hot glue to adhere the latches if you want. Once your holes are poked, add the brads through the holes of one of the latch and push through the brads on your cover. Flip the cover over and pull back the prongs in the opposite directions. Repeat this process to the other half of the latch. Optional: I had cut out a circle and applied hot glue to it and covered the prongs to make it more secure). When this is complete, you can not mat your pattern paper onto the inside covers.

~Now you’ll take pockets “A” and fold on your score lines. Take your scissors and remove the tiny squares in the corner. I cut little notches on mine as well to avoid overhang. Fold the flaps inward and apply glue to the flaps. Then take your pockets and adhere them to the inside cover pieces (3 x 6 gatefold portion) with the opening of the pocket facing the center of base. Do this for both pockets.

~Now take pockets “B” and you’ll apply the same cutting process you did with pockets”A”. Then fold the flaps inward and apply your glue. Your first pocket will go up towards the top, about an inch or so down. Then you’ll apply your second pocket right on top of that about an inch down. Then your last pocket on top of the previous, lining it up close to the bottom without going over your score line.

~Now you’ll take your waterfall flaps and fold on those score lines. These will be applied to the opened side of your flaps inside of the album. If you used a corner rounder to the flaps, do so for your waterfall pages as well. For applying to the bottom flap, make sure your ½ inch score is folded downward and apply your adhesive. Add your first waterfall about an inch or half an inch (depends on if you’re wanting to add more waterfalls later on). Take your next waterfall and apply it directly under the previous one. Lining it up to the edge of the ½ inch score flap. You’ll continue this process for the rest of the 2 waterfalls.

~For the top flap, you’ll take your waterfall pieces and fold on the score line with your ½ inch flap folded upward. Apply your adhesive and add your first waterfall about a half inch from the bottom. Just like you did with the previous waterfalls, take your next waterfall and this time you’re applying it above the previous one. Making sure it lines up directly on top of the edge of the previous waterfall.

~You can now start to decorate and add your special touches to the album. In the paper collection, there are 4 x 6 recipe cards. Because the pockets on the base are a little smaller than 6 inches in width, I had cut mine down accordingly without cutting into the design of the card, so that it would fit into the pockets. Add some stickers to the pockets and flaps and just truly make it your own.

I do hope you enjoyed the delectable project! A great way to hold or gift your ideas of delicious food and treats for the future to come.
