Bug from @mediocreartsandcrafts here. Like Birthday and Get Well cards, Sympathy cards are something I try to keep on hand. Here I use two different techniques with watercolor pencils. Direct to paper, then applying water; and mixing the pencil with water before applying to the image.

Directions
~Using the MISTI stamp platform, stamp the floral stamp from  For A Friend stamp set.
~Next stamp the Thinking of You sentiment from With Sympathy stamp set.
Before putting away that stamp positioner, fold your card base inside out. Stamp the  May your memories bring you comfort and peace  sentiment into the bottom right corner of your card.
~Using the Nuvo Watercolor Pencils, color the flowers. I layered yellow with orange in some, pink and orange in others. I also layered the greens together on a few of the leaves. The more color you put down, the more opaque your final effect.
~With a small paint brush apply water to your flowers. Resist the temptation to just wash the entire page with water. Instead wash the lighter colors first and work your way around the page. I did the red flowers and then the leaves last.
To make the light blue wash for the sky, use the tin lid and put down some of the lighter blue the white pencil. Use your brush to bring water into the lid and mix those into a light blue. Apply to your card. I ended up with a bit of obvious streaking in my sky, and even though I was a little concerned about it, I like it in the finished card.
~Once the page is dry, glue it to your card base.
